What document control should prove
Document control should prove which file is current, who received it, what changed and where the evidence sits. The goal is to avoid working from stale drawings or losing approval history.
Checklist
- Document register with owner and status
- Revision, issue date and approval status
- Distribution record for teams and subcontractors
- Superseded files clearly separated
- Comments, RFIs and actions linked to the document
- Handover and O&M evidence identified early
Keep documents connected to work
Documents are not useful in isolation. Drawings, RAMS, photos, snags, inspections and handover files should connect to the job they support.
Zektrx combines Construction Document Control Software, Drawing Revision Control Checklist and O&M Manual Software so teams can control documents and evidence together.
