Why POWRA records matter
A point of work risk assessment helps the team check whether the planned RAMS still match the real working conditions. It is especially useful when weather, access, other trades, deliveries or sequence changes affect the original plan.
What to check at the point of work
- Has the work area changed since the RAMS were approved?
- Are other trades, members of the public or live services nearby?
- Is the access route still safe and available?
- Do plant, tools, materials and PPE match the planned method?
- Are permits, isolations or inspections still valid?
Make changes visible
If the team identifies a new risk, record what changed and what control was added. A short record is better than an informal conversation that cannot be found later.
Link POWRA to evidence
Photos, signatures, supervisor notes and close-out actions help show that the daily check happened. The record should connect back to the job, RAMS and site activity rather than sit in a separate folder.
How Zektrx helps
Zektrx helps contractors connect POWRA checks with RAMS, site records, actions and evidence, so dynamic risk decisions become part of the project history.
